TV Hwy Project in the News: "Planners: TV Highway needs some fine-tuning"

"The bed that would become the Tualatin Valley Highway was first laid around 1867 for a rail link between Beaverton and Hillsboro — part of the Portland Western Railroad’s line from Portland to McMinnville. Between 1917 and 1919, now designated Oregon Highway 8, it was paved. In the 1950s, it was widened to five lanes. Since, it has undergone precious little change. While the highway has still not realized 20-year-old predictions of 60,000 vehicles a day, planners say it’s only a matter of time before hitting a breaking point..." (Click here to read full article)
