Hillsboro Police are investigating a traffic crash Wednesday morning that injured a man who was riding on a scooter.
At 7:50 a.m., police responded to the intersection of Tualatin Valley Highway and Imlay Street after a teenage driver hit a 55-year-old man who was riding on a two-wheeled Schwinn push scooter on the sidewalk. Police said the man on the scooter suddenly went off the sidewalk and veered into the west-bound lane of the road, right into the path of a 1996 Toyota Camry which was driven by an 18-year-old Beaverton man.
The public is invited to an open house Tuesday to discuss improvements to Tualatin Valley Highway.
The meeting, sponsored by Hillsboro and the Oregon Department of Transportation, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. in the International School of Beaverton, 17770 S.W. Blanton St. (Click here to read more)
