'Significant' TV Highway construction project likely to include truck detours through Hillsboro neighborhood

Police: Man on scooter hit by driver in Hillsboro

Hillsboro Police are investigating a traffic crash Wednesday morning that injured a man who was riding on a scooter.

At 7:50 a.m., police responded to the intersection of Tualatin Valley Highway and Imlay Street after a teenage driver hit a 55-year-old man who was riding on a two-wheeled Schwinn push scooter on the sidewalk. Police said the man on the scooter suddenly went off the sidewalk and veered into the west-bound lane of the road, right into the path of a 1996 Toyota Camry which was driven by an 18-year-old Beaverton man.

Tualatin Valley Highway improvements subject of open house

TVCP Open House: May 8th

Public Event

An Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 5 – 7 p.m., International School of Beaverton (17770 SW Blanton Street, Aloha). At this event, the TV Highway project team will asking for public input on draft improvement recommendations. The Aloha-Reedville Study and Livable Community Plan team will also be available at this event.  The Aloha-Reedville team will be asking for feedback on the community's values and issues.
