TV Highway intersection gets safety upgrade

An intersection considered one of the most dangerous in Oregon now has a new traffic signal to make it safer.

Washington County, Tualatin Valley Highway planners holding community event in Aloha

The organizers of the Aloha-Reedville Study and the Tualatin Valley Highway Corridor Plan are co-sponsoring a community event Saturday, Jan. 28, at the International School of Beaverton,17770 Southwest Blanton Street.

The event, which runs 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the school's cafeteria, is a winter clothing swap and a shredding event. The organizers will provide food, drinks and information about the two programs. Members of the Aloha Business Association and Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District will also be on hand. (See the full story)

TV Highway policy group meets

Representatives from the Oregon Department of Transportation, Washington County, the Metro Council, TriMet and the cities of Beaverton and Hillsboro will meet on Friday, Jan. 13 to discuss the TV Highway Corridor Plan. (Click here to read full article)

Two Washington County commissioners lean away from full-scale widening of congested TV Highway

At least two Washington County commissioners are leaning away from plans to rev congested TV Highway into a full-scale thoroughfare.

Commissioners Dick Schouten and Greg Malinowski said during a work session Tuesday that further widening of the roadway would only increase a sense of division that already exists there.  (Click here to read full article)
